Maybe you're forgetting something.
Read a few guides, try a few things, do some research on the binarys, 1week - 2 months depending how good you are,finding offsets etc.. then inject it, changing what does what etc, it maybe uneditable source wise, but you can certainly modify the **** out of it, adding your own stuff, changing anything really.
