[HELP] I need help Private Server

Hello,

I've got a question, which more people-i guess- are interrested to.
I've made my private server, everything (for so far i know) is correct.
When i start it, it says: Connecting to accaunt server.... Please wait....
That's the point where it doesn't go further..
Could someone help me to fix this problem?

I started a new thread, because i couldn´t find a possible sollution, and most of them were outdated, i´m using patch 5017.
This could be usefull for other people as well, that´s why i started a new thread.
So could anyone help me :P

Oh, btw, i'm trying to understand the whole basic of coding by making this Private Server, so would be nice if anyone helped me out !

3 things normally do this
1. no ports open or wrong ones
2. wrong ip in server.dat
3. wrong ip in config
or a combo of all them

Check to see if your ports are open
Main ones
9958 - Auth Server
5816 - Game Server/Map Server whatever you want to call it
80 - Apache (If you host your own website)

Then check your server.dat and config =)

Hey,

i forgot to open port: 5816, but it still doesn't fix the problem,
I'll try to figure out what the problem is, if i know i'll post it so someone might have a solution to solve it.

maybe u put a wrong number in the acc creation if u don't use a reg page
logontype has to be 2 the first time else u can't create ur acc

Nope, that´s not the case.

Long time ago when I had similar problems I always got very angry, took a baseball bat and started to beat a pillow. 10 mins later the problems seemed to resolve alone, I dunno, maybe I scared `em o.o
