[Help wanted]Need someone to help me

Hi, I have looked threw this forum (maybe not good enough) but jesus christ so many guides to make a private server. I tryed a few but I got errors so I removed everything. Anyway can someone just LINK me to the best guide on how to make one? I prefer the newest private server 5300+ or what is it again?
But I need to have a ninja.

Also when I have my server, how do I get other people online? What do they have to download and connect to, to be able to join me?

Go to the albetros release thread and instal that. (suggesting because the only few bugs that you're likely to encounter have been answered like 50 times in the thread).

it's 5518, stable, with a reasonable amount of features. Far from a full source but a rather lovely starting place.

If you have questions, it also has its own FAQ thread (lots of things answered there if you run into issues setting it up... it's **** simple though)

If I just find a proper guide, I can do more but where do I find one? And it has to be up-to-date...

You need to break your problem down and plan out your steps more carefully. Start smaller on an old source and work your way up as I said. As far as guides go... you know how to use Google, do you not?

All the guide on Google have a problem, one of the most common ones is that the link to the client aint working anymore.

Albetros is one of the simplest to set up I'd you read the thread.. all links work, hell were still hosting patches for the client. The only complicated thing is finding your machine name and renaming the new settings file.

Past that, thread (faq) lists versions of everything needed for it to work and all links are up to date... Not sure why people have so much trouble following such a simple guide. Maybe if I'm bored later I'll do a 'absolute basic guide' for it. Kinda sick of the source being so ignored

Dude the only thing i know abt 5165 is that suxs, why dont you work on one with Mysql, its so easy, i suggest the 5518-5530 sources going out there... All you need is Appserv to start Mysql, Navicat (premium) to manage Sql database, Visual studio 2010 (professional please) to compile it with ur settings... theres plenty of guides out there just use the seach button... try looking for (trinity, mido, scorpions, baramoda)...
