Umm this kinda belongs in that thread but I may as well answer it here.
It's a combination of things really.
#1: Was working full time over the summer which slowed the development time excessively (was living back at home with no net connection, working full time, etcetc). Originally the beta that we did end up running at the end of summer was supposed to be FAR more complete then it was.
#2: Back in school combined with working quite a few more hours at work.
#3: Kinda burned out on conquer in general. I haven't played conquer in about 3 years now... kinda hard to stay motivated on a project for a game I don't even play.
So yah... I ended up releasing one of the slightly earlier versions of the new source we wrote for the project if someone else is interested in working on it. As of right now though I doubt I'll be going back to it any time soon. I've been working on my own game design in my spare time but even that I haven't had much time to work on
