Question about servers

My questions is, does anybody have or made plans about making server like real co? Like qonquer was, where u have to work for ur gears to get best? Most of servers nowadays are like "10-30k cp drop per mob, all ppl join". Its boring for people who really would like to work for their items. Version doesent matter so much, would be great if it would be 4151, 5017, or 5300+, exp rates 2-4x and drop rates just a little bit higher than in real co o.o Thanks for reading.

My server will be a server as close to real 1.0 as it can get. v4267 based. Link is in my signature.

Hellmouth is on a very long break due to real life stuff and so few people bothering to test... but yes there are a bunch of projects looking to do a low rate balanced server.

Problem is 90 pct of people will come on go "WTF WHERE I GET CPS, THIS SUCKS" and log off.

:s yeh i know, but qonquer always had 100+ ppl online, so it will take some time ppl to find right server :P

See I just need the motivation and time to bother finishing up our source.

We were getting **** far with it but just sorta burned out cause no one was bothering to test things as we added them which kinda makes things pointless.

EG: We finished our new version of ctf but it's hard to test when there's almost no one willing to log on and well... TEST it.

Mine is going to be normal rates, you know... when I open it in December ._.
Well actually, that would be a lie. It's going to be slightly higher so it's like Conquer 2.0 before CPs came out.

Yah mine were 2-3x what conquer 2.0 originally was with around 5x exp rates.

Works out decently balanced but people will complain no matter what you do. That's why people need to figure out what THEY want and build on that vs trying to make everyone happy. If you focus on that too much you just end up whoring yourself out.

Im actually working on a server like that on 5017 ._. No cps drops so its db farming, more trading and selling among other players so that money circulates. about 3x exp. But I plan on remaking a new guild war system and adding some more original events and quests so it won't really feel like the real co

My server will have low rates, but it will not be similar to CO... I work to implement completly new system has city war Actually, I added weight, new speed system, new dodge system, new arrow system (more complex, and its related to the head of the arrow). Only problem, it will be a french server... Anyway, when I will have something stable, I may implement a second language to the emulator, and it actually have the capacity to detect the client's language, so, it can be a possibility.
