Thanks in advance for answering (:

I understand what you mean... and that is a problem. I do have events that would cause major problems in that respect (Time Zones will interfere with them). I was really only thinking that the United States would play this server, I wasn't expecting such diversity. What would you rather me do to correct the problem?
1. Host one server in Texas, US - Have the server tell the clients that it's in a Time Zone between the US and the UK.
2. Host two servers in Texas, US - Have both communicate with each other so that players can log into either server using the same account and character.
3. Leave it the way it is currently and finish the server. Then, until it becomes a problem, find a solution to correct it.
Edit: Atm it's not hosted. It's just hosted on my laptop while I work on it.

I know. Apparently YouTube breaks US Federal Laws. I'm not going to sue them though- wouldn't know how. I can get the video back and demand it, but then if the company that owns it decides to sue me, they can. Not that they have the right to sue me, but I just don't want to take a chance. That's why it's on my old coding website.
Edit: I'll try re-uploading it with a different disclaimer... but this is the last time.
Gr. Takes forever to load and export my project with a disclaimer.. =|

Actually in this case your the one breaking the law, hence youtube taking the video down again, you cannot for example mark something as for education and then use loads of copywritten matterial on a publically available site (Such as youtube).
Educational Institutions have exemption from all copywrite when used on site and for curriculum related purposes, that doesnt mean they can just upload copywritten matterial wherever they like, just that they can use it without paying for it or paying royalties etc.

I'll wait for you to remove this inaccurate comment about copyright laws ... laws in which you clearly do not understand anything about. Please keep off my threads. I've never wanted you on my threads so respect my personal space.

Actually i work in a school in the It department and deal with these laws fairly often, so chances are i know more about it than you do.

Look up the Copyright Act of 1976, Section 107.
I don't need permission to publish the video. It's tricky but this section defines that I'm using the material in a way that makes fair use of the content. I'm not profiting off the project, and the only reason why I'm doing this is because I'm researching in a field of study that I'm interested in. Otherwise, this video about my progress as a student in Computer Science wouldn't exist. I'm not using my college as an excuse (like it's part of the curriculum). Now please stay off my threads. I hate the hatred you bring along with you. Nobody wants to hear you argue.

Correct, section 107 states you can use copywritten matterial for research as well as other lines of work, but the entire section is about fair usage of copywritten matterial, so for example you can reasonably justify 20 seconds of copywritten audio for research purposes, but not the entire track, it also states that the nature of the usage of the copywritten matterial will be taken into consideration. Im pretty sure you fail on those grounds aswell because simply marking a video as a student project doesnt make the slightest bit of difference if the content looks to be nothing like that nature (given that yours is essentially an advert for a private server this easily explains failure on these grounds).
And i dont bring hatred, you just take it that way.

The way you state things is extremely offensive Korvacs. Unless you have a mental disorder, you know that. "Im pretty sure you fail on those grounds" is not what a moderator should even say.
And this isn't my information. I'm just going off of what the YouTube staff said to me based on my disclaimer. I asked them what was wrong with it and they said nothing and that I should report it again. I don't feel safe doing so though because that's a risky position. That's why I'm attempting to reupload it. Please lay off of my Korvacs. NOBODY WANTS TO READ THIS. They came here to see my server, not you complaining. Respect my personal space.

The song is starting to really bug me too =\
I kinda dislike the video after seeing it so many times. I just don't have the time to be messing around with another video (or the patience... I hate video production so much).

Ok Korvacs, just please- i'm begging you, stay off my threads. I'm tired of the constant fighting. I'm not breaking forum rules so please clean these comments. I don't like fighting or hatred.

Authorized for the time being:
if EMI claims it then there's nothing I can do really. I don't want to risk anything just because YouTube claims I have rights.

Ofcourse I pick solution 3. I do hope there will be some kind of solution when there are a lot of European players.
You should favor the US timezone ofcourse when EU players are a minority.
Sorry if I don't express my opinion correctly..

[Poll] Conquer New Dawn Server Name
08/12/2010 - CO2 Private Server - 12 Replies
Hey Everyone!
My friend Vole came back from the army and talked to me about Conquer New Dawn. Beta 1's server name was called "Wolf" and now is called "Daybreak" for beta 2. He thinks that it should be called "Wolf", so I need your opinion. Which do you like better?
If you have a better one, say it and don't flame about it.
Thanks!
Sincerely,
Fang
