PServers getting ddossed?

Well, this is random but has anyone's server been getting ddosed?
I got an email from my vps host and apparently the vps that renegade is on is getting heavily ddosed and from what I saw on the renegade chat, Impulse seems to knows who is involved.

I just pay for the vps on behalf of Liam and it seems my small (10-15 player) pvp server was also ddosed -.-

Can anyone shed some light on what's going on?

EDIT: The source of the problem is actually Dragon Action.
These people have nothing to do.

No, it's not me because I don't remember going on that page like never. Besides now I use 'Guluta' on Xat (dun ask why), and even if I were using impulse, I wouldn't add freaky characters to my name. That is not me.

Basically, Someone(Probably COAlliance) are being complete ***** and are framing impulse.

find out if your vps will allow you to install a firewall
this is a special firewall called SPI Firewall - The SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) Firewall protects you against Denial of Service attacks. and it looks like mabye they are iframing you like 50 times hidden the the head of there webpage and if they have a lot of people on there website then the issue will cause you massive overages and bandwidth delay and the vps might close you dowm to save there resources there is only one way to get past the iframe DDOS is DPI firewall. DPI is an intelligent firewalling feature that forms part of the integrated security suite of a UTM firewall (e.g. FortiGate firewalls).
but it will also only allow legit packets to be sent so you must record all ips connecting to the website and the game server

Using a firewall won't help a lot. Shells ftw.

they ddos your site, if you spam their chatbox(A.K.A. advertise)
and will probably try crash your server 2.\
to bad my server has a anti attack program .
so they could only manage to almost get my site down.

but hey, no hard feelings!

There is no such thing as an "anti attack" program, if you know what you're doing.

I got ddossed this morning just activated the windows firewall (and port forwarded on my router) and he just got to shy on himself and he quit xD My website showed 700 online players and server didn't crashed also the apache server still worked so HE JUST GET A LIFE! I hate those guys!!!

btw he also said that i got attacked because of advertising! -.- he can just dream about attacking me ...
