DB Spamming

Well Ive Been Reading these forums for a few weeks now and have gotten alot of useful info so i am going to share a lil with you guys. I read the topic about upgrading with very lil dbs and the one trick that was mentioned is a rumor (in my opinion).

Anyway i use a really simple trick and i have about an 85pc success rate ( meaning i have failed a few times but it seems very consistent). I have used this trick on very high lvl items which i seem to have a rare success rate with.

First thing take the item you want to upgrade and go to market and talk to the artisan to see how many dbs it will take you in market. Now take your item and dbs to tc place the item in and your db. Now double click the db so it leaves the artisan window and is back in your inventory. You do this for as many DBs as it would cost you in market .i.e for 3 dbs for a ref club to become uni you put the db in three times then click the upgrade tab.

Now alot of you will probably say this is luck, but i have upgraded soooo much stuff with 1-2 dbs usually from elite to super using this trick and i feel pretty consistent with it now. By all means please feel free to try and post your results and if it doesnt work for you my condolensces

that is only luck and cant work in the way you describe, more i dont have to say

i upgraded lvl 110 robe and 112 hat with 2 dbs from elite to super last nite there is no pattern the server just randomly choses when it should be upgraded

Likewise... I tried upgrading my robe from unique, to elite which only took 1 DB, then straight away from elite to super... again on DB only. Then my sword from elite to super... one DB again. Then I added a socket to the sword (which I heard also has a small failure rate??) and again, success... 4/4 DBs successful. Just lucky.

Okay, so DB upgrading is completely random. So I guess the only thing to do is to grab a rabbits foot, horse shoe, cross you fingers and put some garlic around (wait nm the latter) before you use a DB

lolz yeah im guessing as much... the next 5 DBs i used were a total waste... I guess it made up for the impecible luck I had the first round.

ouch. I wish there was a way to get the randomness on client. But nooooo TQ had to do everything on server...

I guess that makes sense... I don't know, if DBs are what? 7.50 each and you can sell for a million.. Thats 13333 per dollar (give or take) hehehehe for $7.50 they can afford under 1 byte on their server (7 bits for the million) hehehe those scammers

This is very true, however I'd rather buy 5 DBs every couple of months, then have to pay $20 a month or something stupid to play the game. At least it's an optional expense.

Um, ok so this thread was about db spawning (i guess thats what u meant?)

...never upgraded any elite to super, i tried twice with an elite 1soc bs lvl 40-45, same with an elite robe lvl 15.

These are some tips i have been collecting in one year of playing:

-Make a noob char, about lvl 15-40 to get better chances of success.
-Use lowest level items, around 1-15
-Make those items lose most of its DURA, until they end up having like 10/10 or less.

I've only tried making supers with the two first tips, and failed. However since i reduce the items' dura, success rate has increased up to 90%.
