how do the metdoves work?????

ive been told 5 every 30 minutes making a max of 50 mets available an hour

ive also been told that theres 3 on a map at all times, when one dies another spawns

ive been told that theres always 3 on the dirt at all times with 2 on the grass at all times

anybody know if any of those are true or if you do know how the metdoves work please tell me

those maps didnt really help, was in mz for lik 2 hours, found lik 1 met dove only and it was nothing near the spawns on the map

today's patch messed up with HUGE (lol) metdoves

i havnt had time to play today, this patch made it so the metdove is no longer huge???????????? are the treasure birds at least still small???????????????????

for me both are at regular size :/

the dove edit still works, u just have to copy it again in conquer folder and they come as big as a T-rex like b4 lol

has anyone updated the map for the new monster.dat file?


edit: i just tried tis weird no changes take effect i wonder if they have some form of change checking in the new one, although that wouldnt be it because the old one still works. in comparing both files theres a decent amount of byte changes.. if anyones succesful in getting the edits to work in the new monster.dat lemme know id like to take a look at it see where i was going wrong lol.

k i made a self-extract file called metzoneedit.exe to make even more ez u guys life.. lol :P

ok .. how to?

place it in ur CO main folder and double-click it.. thats all

wat does it do?

it overwrite the following files...

monster.dat (in "ini" folder)
task10.jpg (in "data\minimap" folder)

NOTE! .. make a backup on those files.. dun go blame me if u dont do this..


P.S: i think ill have to make a rar file with the exe inside cuz i dun think the forum gonna let me upload an exe file..

I've heard that recently the spawns have changed, and instead of 5 met doves spawning every 5 minutes its 3........maybe someone can work on this? I have a friend that took SSs of all the met doves where he found them outside of the spawns on the maphack.

I've been in Met Zone A LOT lately, ever since I got the modified maps and the dove size hack. Here's what I've found.

I think that there is only 1 dove at any one time and a total of only 5 every hour or half hour (I'm not sure which, but I suspect it's half an hour). During this hour/half hour, as soon as one dove is killed, a new one spawns, but there is still just one dove at a time. Just today I killed 5 doves in quick succession, and then discovered that I couldn't find another dove, hence I believe that there's only 5 per time interval. I've had to go through the entire map, checking all spawn points before finding the dove a couple of times, which is why I say that there's one at a time. There's my

BTW, I've gotten over 80 mets in the last 2 days (and I'm still going to spend a lot more time in MZ today ).

And by the way, the spawns have NOT changed, the maps posted around here still work just fine.
