Requirements:
- Winrar
- Adobe Photoshop CS3 (Preferably)
- nVidia DDS Plugin ()
Click to download all the necessary skin files compiled by me currently at Patch 5119. These will be perfect until TQ adds a new interface dialogue or button which will appear different from your custom skin, it can take at least 20 patches until that happens.
These include any of the new features such as talismans, battle power dialogues, mentors, you name it. Nothing is left out, and there are no interface bugs.
Extract it.
2) Batch-edit the skin files using Photoshop's batch automation.
Open example .dds file in Photoshop. Press Alt + F9 to open the Actions window. Make yourself a new action by clicking the little icon at the bottom of the dialogue.
Once you have named your new action it automatically starts to record anything you perform to the .dds file example.
Now press Ctrl + U to change colors around, just mess with the knobs until you get a nice look for your skin, and apply it to the example .dds. If you want you can apply more effects like transparency but I think it's just something that's an overused effect raped to its core and it's just not cool anymore.
Now, in the actions dialogue, click the Stop button near the Record button to stop recording your actions.
Now exit that example .dds file and click File -> Automate -> Batch. (If this option is not available you have not clicked the Stop button to stop recording.)
Here you will select the name of the action you have just made and now you will click "Choose..." to select the extracted skin folder from Step 1. Verify that you select Include All Subfolders. Make sure the Destination is on "Save and Close".
Here is how your settings should look like roughly:
Click OK.
When the nVidia DDS Plugin prompts for .dds output configuration, be sure to select (Explicit Alpha) from the big dropdown, once you select it for the first file it should be automatically selected for the rest.
It will start to make the Hue/Saturation changes to all of the interface files and save them, you might have to sit there and click Save for every nVidia DDS Plugin confirmation box but I just put my big phone on the "Enter" button to do this for me while I go watch TV.
3) Install the skin.
Exit Conquer 2.0 if running. Drag the 'data' (containing 2 subfolders main and interface) folder from your new skin into the C:\Program Files\Conquer 2.0\ folder and let it overwrite everything. Restart Conquer 2.0 and enjoy!
Thank me! Don't steal this and don't claim archive of interface files as your own!
And show us your 3-step skins!!!
