Know when your getting a DB

I always hunt in AC2, usually mini-macs or elf apes with my archer. I don't believe there is a DB pattern (met-wise) but I do know there is a pattern for good items.


Ref/Uni> Elite 15k kills or so> Super 30k kills with recent patches (after 5010)*

Before 5010 it was Ref/Uni> Elite 4-6k kills> DB at 40+k> Super 60K+*

Before 5008 it was Ref/Uni> Elite 15k kills or so> Super 30k kills*

* Look at the posts not just in this forum, but the CO forum about "places to hunt, lowered drop rates", etc between these patches*


And yes I know exactly what I'm talking about:

Found Super: Club/Blade/Sword/Tao Cap X2/ Tao BS /Archer Armor x2/ Tao Armor X2/ Wand/ Glaive/ Dagger

DBs found: 10 in less than 1 year


But I do have DB theories, becuase I don't think they are "completely random":


1) DB are dropped every 4-6 hrs or 100K+ kills in an area (not per player)

I have seen players come in and scattter twice and get a DB when my kill counter is over 60K, and knowing with the amount of players hunting it wouldn't be hard for them to make up the other 40K . Same is true for 4-6 hrs, I've been the only person hunting in minis for 4 hours and found a DB..

This would give the appearance of being random, as I have a lot of kills and the guy that 2 scattered would have what, at most 20 kills. He would belive it's random. I believe that this also works per player see #2


2) There may also be a "per player" DB drop rate, which would basically act as a catch all. Like you've hunted for days and days gotten over 60k+ kills everday, but haven't gotten a DB..

*If I fill my market WH with met scrolls somewhere in the first 20 I will find a DB , the next 20 the same ( so 40 met scrolls worth of hunting = 2 DBS?)

*Or it could be this, 2 Super items and a lots of met scrolls you should have found a DB before your WH fills up


Now I understand I have very few posts on this forum, but I study this game, trying to figure out how to make money, good items, etc. Before you completely disagree with me or start flaming, take all your mets/items in WH put them on another character and use an archer only, spend 1 week in minis (as much time as you can hunting), not playing on any other character and tell me I'm wrong.

Let's not forget that the 120 quest takes place in all the main maps so you can't argue that stuff is random in those maps unless u knew exactly how many monsters had been killed in that area and it was under 100k, becuase yes, you could be the person that scatters twice and gets a DB, but how many kills have already been recorded in that area?

lion server DB cost only 20mil...met 50 each....everything cheapest on the game

i usually get like 20 mets an hour in bi birdmen with my archer....i havent gotten a db in a wile but i have gotten like 60+ dbs drops with my main a warrior..first one was in dc second map from sand mons....now this was before all the **** patches...but i have farmed quite a few wars and always get 3 or 4 dbs from the lab i make the war from lvl 1 to lvl 122ish in 3 days though too ...i always seem to get a db right before or after lvl 110...*not from the moon boxes either for any smart ***** lolz*...for more experienced players...try this wen u see a db drop if no one is around dont jump on top of it like a gawd dam noob as soon as u see it continue killing maybe even pick it up then drop it again and continue killing another one might just drop had that happen like a few times "7-8"ish to me....and no i dont buy dbs and i never have so dont blame it on fuking "bulker favoritism"....
wen i am really starving for a db i take my archer out and go (starting in tc) to every single map and kill like 200-300 of everytype of monster...i usually do dc last and get a db ther...i dont hunt in mc, lab, wz, or mz, in my "kill evrymon expidition"

've already posted my opinion before but can't remember when did I post it. I've something to share w/ regards to my experience in hunting dbs best place is at elfape i got dbs 3 times a week. A hint "every 200-300 kills of mobs 1 met dropped after u got 9-10 mets successively the last drop would be a DB just try this one...better look the spot at elfape there are 2 spots at elfape....

MakeItRain810, this might actually work, but who knows? Something similar had worked for me about 4 months ago, and the same thing the very next day. It probably was a huge conicidence, but who knows ay? Thx for the tip tho, i might try it out sometime

HAHA my first DB was when i was pking sum one at lvl 67 on my archer.. i was a complete noob pking a trojan while doing blue moon quest and i attk rock thingy first kill droped db...

lol u guys should try slowapes after maintenance, because one time after maint my archer was logged there so i just scattered ONE time and got TWO dbs!

hey just wunna add..
2nd map AC go over bridge and down to bottom of map then like 3-4 jumps to the left should be a nice snake spawn now im kinda noob to this but i been playin long time too lol.
now down there no matter wen i was on my archer i was gettin a met bout every 100-200 kills and after the first 15000++ kills i was gettin a db just a tip idk if it still there havnt played my archer long time now been on my tro
