It Uses DropItem.wav for anything considerd an Item. Gems, Pktickits, Command Tokens, All those Damned X-mas Items, Ore, Arrows, Etc.
I used The Intel Logo sound forgot where i found it. Works Quite well even if the item is slightly off screen. Only drawback, when you scroll back to tc and some archer died or they have ****** up items like in the x-mas quest.. it blows your eardrums out..
I am guessing they have the GemDrop.wav for gems but forgot to implement it when they were coding..
Also for anyone wanting to make their own sound files for CO but are having difficulty getting them to play.. the sound file must be wav format with PCM and mono or it will not play .. if your a noob and have a nice wav file you want to use and you need a quick way to convert it..
open the sound file in sndrec32 <thats windows sound recorder for the nooby noobs> and click on "save as"
when the save as dialog box opens at the very bottom of that window is a button called "change" click on that button
When the new window appears slect fromat as PCM and Atributes as 8bit mono
This will allow CO to play the file as well as keeping low size so that if you have multi gem drops youu can hear them all..
For those of you that know all of this already .. sorry for drugging up an old thread.. However i thought the sound formats would be a good addition..
I have no fancy tags... oh well...
