timmy if you would check the fixed itemtype.dat for x-mas patch, on the first page, the new itemtype is there.

Can you update it so that it works with the new christmas patch? since if we use the old one the items names won't show up, it would be nice to have an updated one.

But is there anyways to show those + items? because mostly monster drop + items more than elie,super and is there a way like if it a + item can u guys like make a +1 next to it.I guess alot of people want that happen and mostly are archer lol. ^_^

If you have a question, please read at least more than 1 page on a topic. If you just go to page 5 here is what I said:

heres my theory about items, could be wrong, could be right. irdk

1. all items are created serverside.
2. item stats are already complete once its created by the server. contrary to what others say that the +1s are only determined after u pick up the item
3. the quality of the item can b immediately determined because, the data that determines the item quality is sent everytime it is queried. while on the other hand, the data regarding +1s is only sent once the item is viewed through the inventory.

example:
if you killed a monster and the server determines that it dropped an item, it automatically sends some data to the client. what type of item, its location, and its quality.
after u pick it up, the clients sends a request about the item. this time it sends everything. including if its +1, and maybe its dura too.

thats my theory.

here are the reasons why i think it occurs this way

1. the quality is sent immediately since it is included in the item appearance on the ground.

and more importantly
2. the data about +1s are not really important if the items on the ground so it is not sent everytime to keep bandwidth usage to a minimum.

as i said, could be wrong, could be right. my example might also be lacking or exceeding in data since i really havent seen what data an item is composed of.

Just this, lets think something new.

How about editing the itemtype.dat and come up something colorful.

Lets say if we see super items on the ground it reads as "SupItemname".

Can somebody come up with a color?

Super Items = RED itemname
Elite Items = PURPLE itemname
Unique Items = BLUE itemname

This way it can be more, easily to determine the items fell on the ground.

Just a challenge to every one.

Coz am working on it.

Editing something more colorful.

ps: so sry my is not worckign well i just noticed the some weps are not shown as ref/uni/eli/sup and i can`t edit it with itemtype editor coz it crashes at that point i don`t know why tho.

I`l try it again and if not the other way

ok guys i'm registered on this site since 2005 i think, when i started playing conquer. I am not so good at computer so i could.t help me u with hacks or any other programs, but now i need ure help, i offer +k for any answer correctly. I need an +1 itemtype, wich shows on the ground +1 items! I tried to use search but i only found itemtype eich shows elite/super. please help :?
