Teenie I have a small problem with the program and I will try to explain it to you. I put the 4 ini files along with the .bat in my conquer folder. I ran the prompt and it came and went like you said it would. Then i clicked on my conquer icon on my desktop and go into tg. The errors and effects are still there, what could I have possibly done wrong?

theres another way of removing effects and i find it a little bit easier

heres how u do it:
1) go to your ini folder and open up 3DEffects
2)right click and click on select all and cut it
3) then open up notepad (not microsoft word or wordpad or anything else) and paste
4) save the document where you can easily access it
5) if you want to see the effects again just simply open the effects document u saved and copy it then paste it back into the 3DEffects and click on file then click on save

this is really helpful when u wanna put 2 characters in TG

1st of all i wanna say that MrTeenie did a great job by creating this tool that removes all effects. 2nd i wanna post a d.i.y. for all the other players that have problems with that tool, don't know the portals locations and are too lazy to go trough all this thread:
1) go to your ini file (probably located C:&#092;Program Files&#092;Conquer 2.0&#092;ini)
2) open 3DEffect.ini
3)click save as and save it as 3DEffect.bkp(or any other extension for you to know it's a backup of teh original file)
4)open 3DEffect.ini again and search for "exit"
5)delete all that's above and under that code part (when deleting what's under it start from "[LevelUp]")
if you want all those annoying effects again rename the backup ".ini"(it will overwrite the modified ini)

Ok quick question does this all make mets invisible becuase since I have installed this I have not found a singel met and have made over 10000 kills, usually i find mets about every 500

nope... this is effect removal not item removal. Have you try dropping 1 meteor out and see what happen?

i manage to remove all the effect except for arrows, any1 know how to remove arrows?

What I did to correct most of it:

Make sure all of your graphics are turned on and the Effect Removal tool is installed properly.
Go into the .ini folder and look for "3DEffect2"
Erase everything in it and save.
Then run the program.

It gets rid of all the effects except arrows. It's still better than having all of the effects though.

after the previous 2 updated, i can't see my scattering damage on mons. what command lines i need to add/change for getting scattering's damaging on monsters? i need the damage value from scattering in metzone in order for me to verify the real doves. anyone can help here.. thx first
