So, I thought I'd share this little tool I've been working on for a while, though not progressed much. I've got it into a state where it should run provided you have .Net 3.5 and DirectX.
The plan is to make it into an full map editor, and it could potentially become a custom client later on. I don't get much chance to work on it, so I'm looking for anyone interested in contributing. DirectX knowledge would be preferred. You'll also need to put up with my **** coding standard. I'll need to see what you're capable of first.
Try it out anyway and lemme know of any bugs you find. (full info please). I'm already aware of it crashing when you resize the form after you've scrolled, or files are missing. Also, transparency is non-existant so you'll get garbage where it should be. Don't bother re-reporting that.
Oh, Edit the .config file to make BasePath point to your CO2 folder (And make sure the path ends with "\").
Click & drag to scroll. (It aint smooth).

Viewing .DDS files 06/15/2005 - CO2 Weapon, Armor, Effects & Interface edits - 10 Replies Download and install The DirectX Software Development Kit. After that you can either go in the conquer folder, then the folder with the DDS files, and click on Thumbnail view. If you can see them, click Open with and choose DirectX Texture Viewer. The third way is going to Start>Run and type in dxtex.exe. This will open the DirectX Texture viewer.
