I am not actually into DMA you are right, that still doesnt change the fact that DMA is not some kind of undetectable new meta as people describe it.
And of course I understand why you attacking me, you still have to make money after all : )
Im not hating on your or 1pc software, DMA isnt undetectable no. But as it stands and how **** rico is even after this mini dma update they claim to have done, its still the superior option

yeah agreed, theres far too many people who didnt want to do the research into something good and just got something free. Which would always be the first target since its so easy to get. If you get a DMA setup only to get the lowest quality firmware their is then why even bother.
There had already been Ricochet tests for DMA in the weeks prior. It was evident based on certain things and specific tests that were conducted. When I mentioned it, I was attacked. Peace & love.

Genuinely, like what?
I feel if that were true, we'd have seen a significant wave of bans, not a handful of people using free firmware and an ambiguous announcement showcasing five forum posts, lol.
It's pretty clear at this point that they manually banned a handful of people rather than implementing targeted enforcement or making any meaningful anti-cheat changes (yet).
People are still using some of the most popular free firmware, with absolutely no indication that they cataloged and banned those using it.
Several acquaintances of mine had installed firmware from GitHub for testing purposes, but after two minutes of gameplay, it would freeze up, requiring them to restart their secondary PC. Once they switched to a different firmware, everything worked fine; yet, when I mentioned this here on epvp, someone called me "crazy."

Thank you.
Do you happen to know which firmware they tried, and are they banned now?
I highly doubt they’ll issue bans for this! This announcement is just a publicity stunt.
At most, they might block the device from working, much like Javelin does. No bans, just a block.
The same goes for those who ran tests,no one got banned!
Blocking a DMA device with subpar firmware,as you know better than I do,is child’s play.
U guys need to chill.
Its Activision in the end. For Ricochet to reach insane Dma levels it will take years. The people who got banned its their own fault , raging in ranked in previous cod titles etc etc theres so many reasons u could have get banned.
Also DMA was good in COD since end of 2023 (MW3) until now without any Dma checks from their side.
Not really, it's just that people don't always provide enough information for anyone to make an educated guess.
The bottom line is this person was either using aimbot that Ricochet was able to identify or they had DMA files/drivers on their PC that got them banned. If they actually implemented DMA protection, this forum would be full of posts from people reporting being blocked/banned.
Turns out, it was just the Macku I was using. Some of the early Macku units had an issue with a connector or something that needed to be removed. Instead of doing that, I just bought a new device. The old Macku was also running outdated firmware. Since switching to my new PC, I’ve been using the correct macku with new firmware without any issues i just used the wrong one by mistake.

Well there you go. I've heard of some issues with Makcu recently, but I don't use ab, so I don't know anything about it.
Why is everyone talking about "Free" vs "Paid" fw? Eventually every firmware comes straight from github -> UlfRisk himself. Paying a shady discord E-Gangster isnt more safe then a github source finetuned with your own donor card (with the help of AI this shouldnt be a problem). Just don't download a pre compiled binary you found on a 2 year old post (or github).

So, if I understand correctly... was old macku the reason for your bans?

I am using very old Macku FW, i believe it is 3.4 and 3.2 or smth like that, no issues, i really doubt it has anything to do with macku, but ok i guess and i don´t see the need to update macku at all for CoD aside from one initial set up
Where is the proof it is because of this outdated makcu board? Yes it is possible that earlier MAKCU boxes have / had this issue but its definetly not a MAKCU banwave. Nobody knows for sure but root causes seems more like more heuristics around pcie devices for basic / public firmware now.
