PO just announced its shutdown??? I wonder what the reason is—what do you guys think?
Could something be changing in CoD?
Doesn’t this sound like a possible offer from Activision—“Hey, give us your user data and shut down your operation, and we won’t take legal action against you”?
I even wrote to Zebleer it was a good run and I was with Zebleer from the second day it went public.
Unlucky though, but it was expected, public providers do not go private all of sudden without any reasons behind it, like ending it.
i thought he was gonna wait until the end of bo6 and close then tbh.
but tbh i think he is the one that does hypervision or at least is apart of it and he probably just wants to focus on that.
GG Zeb it was a good run. It defo will come to the cheating hall of fame, to the history books of cheating. PO one of the greatest Providers ever existed.
man ol man Zeb should of just made it private and only to LT members but for sure hypervision gotta be a rebranding of po no cap don't you think just so activision to get off his back idk
You can't go against Activision, if they want to, they'll take you down, no matter how "good" your OPSEC is, get used to it if you're a customer. If you're a developer, you shouldn't attract much attention, but if you're the main provider (with most customers), there's not much you can do apart from living in constant paranoia and of course, if you don't have a good OPSEC from the start, you won't last long once you start becoming a main P2C.
PO became more of a main provider than it had been before as soon as IW left, and as if that wasn't enough,
Overall, very sad, like any other C&D with any other cheat provider in the past, but it's part of the game.

Well said, but what would be the best solution for a developer to avoid legal actions in such case? Perhaps move to another country whose government doesn't give a **** about C&D orders or lawsuits from game companies?

That…or you can take extreme measures for opsec. I can brainstorm a few things off the top of my head that will cover almost every basic opsec step and if I sat and thought about it long enough, I could likely figure out ways to go completely invisible as a dev. Legalities aside, it’s 100% possible.
