Question Does anyone know if this will trigger a ban?

Hi there,

I currently play MW3 on a Bnet account that I created when I updated my PC hardware.

I also have another Bnet account that I use to play WoW (World of Warcraft) on, that is also linked to a HWID banned CoD account.

I was thinking about playing WoW again, meaning I'd need to login to the old Bnet to update WoW.
Is this enough to trigger a ban, or am I safe if I don't launch CoD?

Thanks.

You'll be fine. Ricochet starts when COD is started. I've personally verified this, but the Ricochet team has also said it many times and it's even listed on their website: (see question #9)

9. Is the kernel-level driver in RICOCHET Anti-Cheat always-on, even when I’m not playing a game using RICOCHET Anti-Cheat?
"No. RICOCHET Anti-Cheat’s kernel-level driver will only operate when you play a game using RICOCHET Anti-Cheat on PC. The driver shuts down when you exit the game and turns on when you start a new game."

I thought that to be the case, I just wanted confirmation.

Thanks!

That's correct. The battle.net launcher does not contain any anti-cheat or collect HWIDs. The cod.exe does all that. So if you're only using Battle.net and never launch cod then you'll be fine.
