At what point can Activison/MW2 check HWIDs?

Let's say I'm banned on my main steam account. I do the whole spoof voodoo, reinstalling windows etc. I make a new acc for MW2 play safe, no shadow or perm bans.

Now what happens if I log into my main steam acc to play other games, can this already trigger a ban? I'm just wondering if they can only access these things when running the game or also when I'm active with another account, maybe even one still linked to a banned Activision account.

No that won't trigger a ban, your not playing the game so the anti cheat is not active.

you should be fine from steam, I wouldn't recommend battle.net though.

I still use my old battle.net with banned Acti perma linked. Does not trigger anything on new battle.net + acti acc

What would you use the old bnet for though, like Diablo or Overwatch or other bnet games?

That's my OG Battle.net from the very start when WoW switched to it.
Only used po but switched for 3 days to MI cause I wanted Visible Only ESP. Then it got rekt. Lesson learned.
