Does CoD ban your IP?

I have a computer and a laptop, I am playing fully legit on my laptop and thinking about cheating on my computer. They both have different components but one thing connecting these devices is my wifi.

If I were to get banned for cheating on my computer would I get banned by IP on my laptop too?

No they do not IP ban, most games don't, maybe flag it but can't ban you for it.

Why?

You could have other family members in your house playing normally, you could be sharing a flat with other people, you could be at a hotel with other guest etc etc.

Not to mention changing your IP for most people is a case of leaving their router unplugged for 15 mins or changed via vpn.
