How to find if you have 32bit or 64 bit (OS)

How do I find out if I have a 32-bit or a 64-bit operating system.
Problem solution
Windows XP or Windows 2003 Server
Press the Start-button, go to Control panel and choose Performance and Maintenance and then System.
Under the General sheet you have:
System: Microsoft Windows XP
Professional x64 Edition
Version 2003
Service Pack 3
If you cannot find x64 edition on the second line, you have a 32-bit operating system.
Content may be different pending which operating system and language you have, the second line could read Home edition, Professional edition, and others. The important thing is to look for x64 edition, if this is not present then you have 32-bit.
Windows Vista / Windows 2008 Server
Press the start-button, go to Control Panel and choose System and Maintenance and then System.
System should say something like:
Rating:
Processor:
Memory(RAM)
System type: 64-bit Operating System.
If System type is 64-bit Operating system you have 64-bit, if System type is 32-bit Operating System you have a 32-bit Operating System.
Windows 7
Click the Start-button
Right click Computer, choose Properties
Under System, System type you will see if you have a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system
