Discussion: Disabling IVC with the use of CR+CB+CE

yes but what are we exactly looking for? ive seen on official cabal forums the exceptions of ivc, so do i use that information to disable ivc?

Here are the list of exceptions to the newly implemented "Image Authentication System". Hope this answers most if not all your concerns. Thanks

Exceptions

• When user is in the Mission War channels
• When user is in the Dungeons
• When user is in the safe-zones (Village, Warp Zone, etc.)
• When user is “idle” or not doing anything.
• When user is in “Personal Shop” mode
• When user is in the social action(dance, sit, wave, etc.) status
• When attacking dummies and Event Monsters such as Snowman, Charisma Pan.

so i get the value when im in safe zones/idle /[ersonal shop mode etc, then freeze it? is this right?

anoother possible way to disable ivc that i thought of:

- once the timer of ivc appears, search for it then freeze the timer value?

am i on the right track? come on people lets help each other out so that we can provide a temporary bypass for IVC, since we're not getting what we have paid for.

You can do it with ollydbg and a little bit of ASM, you want to find the IVC check and either NOP the "Nonsafe zone" values of the corralating switches or JNZ past the IVC check alltogether... Though its probably a good idea to only do NOP the States that are for unsafe zones.

Ok so i'll use the information you posted as a starting point for disabling ivc havent started learing ollydbg and asm so goodluck to me. well everyone needs to start from the beginning anyways. thanks

You want Lenas guides to Reversing for Newbies... I give you my word that within a week of using her guides yourll not only be able to bypass the IVC yourll be able to do heaps of other things aswell

My attempt to disable IVC ended in utter failure :| Well at least in using CE.

My attempts were:

- Getting the addresses while in town and outside of town then freezing them - FAILED
- Getting the addresses while dancing and freezing them - FAILED

I still keep getting the IVC.. Can anyone help me or point me to where I look into? Thanks a lot!

Id go into the many reasons why Cheatengine = fails but ill simply put it this way.. People use cheatengine to "Freeze" Values so they can cheat, but if you where to have altered the exe file with ollydbg you could make it have the "Fixed" value on all states for that check meaning you wouldnt need CE..... Why use another program to make happen what you can do with alittle ollydbg and have it work all the time?

I kept pushing myself to disable ivc by using CE since I heard from a handful of people that were saying they had disabled IVC just by using CR + CB + CE.

So I thought I could find the address myself but hadn't been able to. Right now I have no other choice but to try ollydbg I was hoping I could get to disable ivc sooner since starting monday I would be in the office again, working.
