I hope this can help you...
1. If you have DeepFreeze and/or Antivirus programs installed in your PC, you need to disable them in order for the new versions of CR's "Cabal Rider" to work, 1.05 up to the present versions of CR's are'nt cooperating with DP's and AV programs well, don't know why, it just doesnt work with those things enabled...
btw some people are disabling their firewalls as well, no need for you to disable your FW, people who disable their FW's in order for their CR's to work are just silly...
2. Now, if you're using a CB "CaBot, CabalBot Whatever..." you don't need to disable anything in your PC, just run the CB like you normally would do, but instead of launching the game using the CB, use your CR to launch the game instead...
unfortunately the most updated of CB is 1.03, hence it's more compatible with CR1.03. but since we all know that CR 1.03 doesn't work anymore, you can substitute this by running an updated version of CR w/c is 1.05 up to 1.07 i think*
the only downside with this method is that, as soon as you rider pops up in the screen, you won't be able to use the CR's shortcut keys anymore, cuz as soon as you use the sKeys you would be automatically DC'ed from the game, don't know why either but this happened to me several times...
so in order for you to configure you CR, don't minimize or hide the CR's panel just let it float in you desktop, if your gonna configure your CR just click it with the mouse instead. Just remember not to use the CR's sKeys..
btw, i suggest trying on #1 first, it's most simple and easiest way for your CR to function properly...
