I have a dual boot xp/vista machine but I'm not going to try it with cabal. Not worth the efford but I've seen posts here about making it work with vista. I don't know if they work or not but maybe you should read through one of those posts.

Ok im now at the 3th step.
i need to extract it to C:/Programs files/OGplanet/CABAL online. right?
or like extract data to data?
The guy who wrote this guide really doesn't know what he's talking about. If you refer to the other thread he was begging on how to set this up asking for messenger ids and such. It's a very very simple process that I figured out on my own.
1. Download US version of Cabal
2. Install US version but DO NOT update it OR open it
3. Download patches.rar and extract to overwrite files in cabal folder
4. Install eastern language pack in regional setting via the control panel and restart computer
5. Start cabal as you normally would
That's it... not complicated. This is all I did besides making an account on the xcaliber website.
ok followed this step by step and it still not working so going to say its ip blocking alot
Well, I did exactly what you said, phatal, and the game starts fine, but always tells me that I need to update (same error a lot of people are getting). Is there something else I need to do? Or is the server actually getting an update? It's hard to tell what exactly is going on with all the posts.
seriously follow phatal808 guide it worked for me and i am in playing now its seriously easy to set up i didnt bother to install the language pack first and it didnt work so installed that restart comp and boom i am in and have been in playing now for over a hour

yea your using windows xp,
the only players that get update message is vista users.
