Hallo!
entpackt.
Was ihr benötigt:
In meinem
Fall nehme ich die "1h_bld_06.efx".
Schritt 3:
Datei also EFXTemplate.bt.
Schritt 5:
In meinem Fall
nehme ich "item\arms\1h_bld_06.ebm".
Schritt 7:
Ich öffne also "1h_bld_06.EBM".
Schritt 8:
Nun wieder das gleiche wie in Schritt 4 & 5. Nur achtet
auf das richtige Template. Ich muss das EBMTemplat
benutzen.
Schritt 9:

Schritt 5:
Oben auf File --> save as ---> gleicher Name ( bei mir also
"1h_bld_06.EBM" ) und mit der anderen .ebm Datei aus dem
Cabalordner ersetzen.
ENGLISH:
Hello!
I don't found any tutorials about unpacking cabaldatas like
EFX, EBS etc . So i decide showing you how to unpack
this datas.
Do you need:
-Photoshop, gimp or Paint.net with a DSS plugin
-sweetscape010
-Templates (which you can find below)
-cabal/data folder
I think everyone can instal Sweetscape by himself and
the DSS plugin, too.
Step 1:
choose a Weapon. I will take for example the Osmium Blade.
Step 2:
Go to the folder "Cabal\data\FX\EFX\Arms" and look for
the appropriate file . A list with the files and weapons, you
can find in the forum. I took this one "1h_bld_06.efx".
Step 3:
Open the .efx data with Sweetscape.
Step 4:
Go to the top at Templates -> open Template...
and choose the right templat which you have downloaded
before. I have a .efx data so i will take the EFXTemplate.bt.
Step 5:
Klick on Templates at the top and klick on"run Tamplat"
or press F5. Now another table should open.
Step 6:
Now you had to expand all objects in the new table
(press the arrow next to the name). Look to the column
"Value" and you will see some paths. All of them are paths
to pictures which belong to the weapon or skill, what ever.
I will choose the path "item\arms\1h_bld_06.ebm".
Step 7:
Go to the folder "CABAL\Data" and then follow your choosen
path to your data. Open your data with sweetscape.
So i will open "1h_bld_06.EBM".
Step 8:
Now repeat the steps 4 & 5. Careful you had to choose the
right Templat. I had to take the EBMTemplate.
Step 9:
If you do this expand all names which have "material"
in their names and look for "ubyte data".
Step 10:
Now klick on "ubyte data" and in the table above will be a
long text choosen which starts with" DDS |. . ".
Step 11:
Go to the top at File -> Special -> Save Selection...
and save the choosen text ("ubyte data") as ".DDS" data.
Step 12:
If you've done everything right, you can open the .DDS
data with Photoshop, gimp ,paint.net or something else.
Parts of the image can be absence.
Here is my result. The Osmium Blade.
TIP: In the .efx data (the first you open) are more than one path.
You can open each data of this path and start with step 8.
You only need the right tamplate.
I hope my tutorial can help you. Now i show you how to get the templates
if you don't want to downlaod them.
Visit this page
Choose for example "EBM/ECH". A window with a text will be opend.
Now save the text as ".bt".
EBM/ECH you can save for example as "EBMECHTemplate.bt".
This is my first tutorial and i will be happy to get some feedback.

EDIT: Templates to download are below.
Pack
Step 1:
After editing the .dds data open it with Sweetscape.
Step 2:
Copy the whole Text.
Step 3:
Repeat the steps 7 to 10 from the unpack tutorial.
Carfu, only mark the "ubyte data" text.
Step 4:
Now replace the text (ubyte data) with the text from the
.dds data.
Step 5:
Go to the top at File --> save as ---> now the same name
( so the name of my data is "1h_bld_06.EBM" ) and then you.
have to replace the .ebm data from the cabal folder with your
new .ebm data.
