yes i didnt change anything to where the files are located it was working fine when i first got it and then it started doing that message all the files that i know of are still there
Not really, for some browsergames it's very easy. But have to do a few more things to get it working with Empire Craft. It shouldn't be a problem, it only takes some time. The problem is I don't have the time atm .
I'm getting that same 'unhandled exception' error reddeath was getting a page ago. I have NET Framework 3.5 and text files in the same folder as the bot. What else could be wrong?
No idea what the problem is. Been running it the whole night/day without any exceptions. Will log some more debug info in the next version maybe I can find it then.
Check out the last two lines of the unhandled exception. It may be an easy fix.
"Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.
Length cannot be less than zero.
Parameter name: length."
Ow good, that's not the same error then. red_death86 had a System.IO.FileNotFoundException. Which could mean that his .Net Framework is not up to date or corrupted.
But your error is easy to explain. That is caused when the bot can't find the information it is looking for. Which usually happens after a server update. Could you tell me on which server you play?
But I worry that's something different because I haven't any problems. It could be that you play on an Empire Craft v2 server. This bot is developed for Empire Craft v1.
I will know for sure when you post the server you play on.
The error happens when the bot is looking for attacks on the city after the bot has been running for about 30 minutes. Would it be possible to add a feature to turn that on/off? I'd have high level heroes if I could turn it off haha
I've read somewhere that you intend only to add building queue to the bot and than move on to the next version of the game, but wouldn't it be better to add floating castle dispatch function instead of building queue, couse building time of most building exceed 10s of hours so its not that much needed ingame... Just a thought, thats all ;]
You're right about the floating castle but I think the building queue is as useful as that.
But most important reason is that there are some people who are waiting too long for a building queue. Just wanted to finish that request as last new feature.
Building queue is done!
As I said earlier this will be the last new feature. But will still do bug fixes.
Will let you know when the bot for Empire Craft II is ready for release.
Version: 2.3 Date: 18-04-2010
-Added building queue.
-Fixed small GUI problem
Empire Craft II Bot 12/13/2010 - Browsergames - 10 Replies This is a short guide to get the bot working. First be sure you have the latest version. See the release notes for all the changes. If you are interested in the source code you can download that here.
Please note that this bot is for version 2 of Empire Craft. This means that the following servers are supported:
s20+ (Not s22)
w24+
At the moment the only purpose of this bot is to make an unlimited building queue. If you have any tips, bugs or questions you can use the comments.
