New bot detection method
Hey Space Pilots,
We have introduced a new bot detection mechanism into the game. The method will now go as follows:
Stage 1
Users identified as bot users by our detection scripts will be given a pop up, this pop up will identify them as a bot user. They must then enter a CAPTCHA code to use the account.
Stage 2
7 days after stage 1, any user who is identified as a bot user after completing the human check will be suspended for 1 day. After 1 day has passed, the user will have to enter another code and can return to the game.
Stage 3
7 days after stage 2, any user who is identified as a bot user for a third time will be suspended for a further 7 days.
Stage 4
14 days after stage 3 if a user is still identified as a bot user then the account will be removed from the game.
This system is automatic, and there will be no exceptions made to any user under any circumstance. With an automatic system, we are able to focus on more detection methods for external programs.
There will be no exceptions for any users who have previously been removed from the game for bot use, these users will not get their accounts back.
