Looking for someone to fill me in with whats happening in the private server scene for BDO.
I have quite abit of experience with SRO Private servers ever since they became a thing.
Now i am playing BDO and i've recently learned BDO private servers are actually more than just emus.
Can share some of my experience as both BDO highend player as well as old time PSRO dev in exchange for some more infos. (aka im willing to help you build the perfect server if you've got the means for it > see Elite Silkroad Online)
Silkroad .... lel. Developing a server nowadays for modern games requires a bit more knowledge my friend. You want to tell me that cause u created some silkroad stuff u will be able to create some black deserts stuff
TL;DR: There's no further public development for the Java Emulators. Updated versions are being sold by other developers.
Sources are available but 90% of it are already offline due to DMCA's.
491 was the last solid release, 66x / 70x versions gone private and been sold by some.
Sold stuff are offsets and other updates needed to work with the latest version of the client.
There was a C# port, Im not sure where it is now or at which point it is able to emulate the game.
as it stands now as killzone already wrote, all private servers are either cash grabs like GamezBD and Black Avalanche(which is also sub par) or are sub par like HadesBD or PVP Knights.
Yeah, this scene lacks some talentuous devs willing to spend time on this emu. Since the official game is going cashgrab, that the RU servers has been wiped, there should be some strong interests coming from players in the future for p-servers.

I see, thank you. Any infos on how people came into posession of these sources? Has server security really improved to the point people are not able to get even anything that can be reversed from special locations in their infrastructure? I am most interested in those type of files as i really cba to work on emus.
Any information regarding files that are not emu's is welcome , hit me up in private, willing to offer decent money for tips. (im not willing to purchase files , merely information)
Trying to.make.an emu run on any new client is waste ofmtime cause they changed some stuff which makes reversing packets ultra hard compared to the past. And no I am not just some Speedhack kid bro I know what I am.talking about. Working with packets myself and I also started a c++ server emu months ago which I had to stop cause of said changes. It's not impossible to create something but it will eat up a shitton of.time now cause it was much easier in the past (pre 824), crypto is ez it's more about packet opcode's and structs
Ps. Ask me if.u wanna know something and stop calling me some weak script kid if u dont know **** about me
Security:
What exactly you are looking for?
There's a reason why "most" of the servers now are behind GameBD because they cant figure out the new encryption method.
OR they lack the knowledge to update the java source code they have.
As for client, its packed with Themida and you can inject LUA and can do almost everything.
You can inject LUA to hack the game or automate some stuff.
If you want the Java source, I think there are "discord servers" that still has it.
I stopped following the scene as it looks dead to me from the beginning.
ArcheAge however has a new emulator project going on. (Off topic)

OK dude nobody really cares about your internet reputation. You come into my thread, derail it by assuming id give a **** about a random dude and then wonder why im calling you a weak script kid.Sounds like someone aint got enough friends.
I will take a look at that java source or have a go at gamebd to check them out, thanks.
Just for you to know, me and some other dudes are trying to setup a team willing to work on an open source project of BDO emu.
If you (by "you" I mean the OP and readers of this topic) are interested in investing some time and java coding skills in such a project, just PM me to join our Discord channel !
you are ignoring r3p's advice and bash on him even though he just told you why reversing packet is hard now.
I am pretty sure you will never figure out how to reverse the packets pass 824, yes there is a way to figure out all the packets but it will require a lot of work AND something you probably don't have if you start now.
eee <- you will know what im talking about if you actually tried reverse the game.
As I said on "my" topic, we won't aim for an ultra-recent release if we don't have the right skills to deal with it.
To reach v.795 would be a nice milestone for us, then we'll see.
We're not pretending that we can do anything, we're not another bunch of poor money-driven team that will sell some dreams and deliver nothing.
