First, if you don't know I am the GM of BoI-Cupcake.
Second, I would like to address not all players but the group who constantly complains about "new content"
At present most servers (except for KS) are not able to do a lot in terms of new items. This limits them as the only real way to add a new item at present that i know is to take the textures of said new item and rename them to the textures of an old item so the game replaces those textures. It really isn't adding new items.
To add new items you need to be able to access Item.dat in the client.
That will allow the client to register that you have added a new item server side and will show it client side.
For the most part it isnt that we don't want to add new items and such it is just very difficult to do so.
I add pets. I have added over 90 new pets to my server. I also have prepaired my server for when necros finishes his tool to make editing item.dat easier I will be able to add anything from WoI item wise. After that I don't mind spending time working on new instances and such as I will have new items for those instances.
I am sure other servers feel the same.
Also for those who bash so hard on new servers.
I would like to just point out it is alot harder to make a server that doesnt give you everything free.
I have spent the last week working 12-16 hours a day on my server and given that at the beginning of that I knew almost nothing about coding a server I do think my server is doing well.
Yes, I know players dont want (as a whole) a low rate server.
Fine, but there are those who do. Those players shouldn't be foreced to play a server that gives everything just because that is what most players want.
One more thing everyone knows that those who run servers now arn't Menoz you don't have to remind us every 5 minutes.
