[Discussion] Attack Speed Cap & Cooldown

Hello everyone,

I have recently started playing Aura Kingdom on server Phoenix & so far I'm liking how the game works regardless to how Pay2Win it is.

I have been going through my skills and I found out that some of my combo skills which I get from my envoy's path can be used in a very efficient way if their cooldown is massively reduced which is exactly what I'm hoping to achieve.

Now I hear that the cap for attack speed is 50% which decreases the cooldown of the skills by only 50% which is nowhere near what I am trying to reach. I am hoping for 75% cooldown reduction or even more if possible.

I have done some researches regarding this only to find out the following

1) Caping the attack speed without any bonuses: Simply using the stat attack points you get from leveling up to cap the attack speed up all the way to 50% without using any bonuses.

2) Lion's roar set: has an ability of activating 'Enthusiasm' when dealing crit which boosts your attack speed by 50% for 15 seconds.

3) Zaahir/Yarnaros/Eligos: These 3 ediolons can boost the attack speed by 25%.

4) Cores & Ordinary Set Stats: Usage of a specific core while crafting gives an attack speed bonus and some set parts have attack speed bonuses in their own original stats which might help.

5) Focus Attack Mastery: by using this as my attack mastery I get a % attack speed boost.

6) Eidolon Emblems: some of these things can give an attack speed bonus as well.

That is pretty much everything I found out about boosting the attack speed so even if what I'm trying to achieve is not possible. I wish this topic could help those who are trying to boost their attack speeds.

Now let's get down to the question that will sum up what I'm trying to achieve.

If I cap my attack speed to 50% without using any bonuses and then apply all the bonuses I mentioned in this topic, will this have any effect on the cooldown of my combo skills? or will it still only be reduced by 50% and no further cooldowns can be achieved?

Short answer no. Attack speed affects only normal attacks (auto attacks) not skills, besides depending on your class putting all your attack points in speed is a giant waste, you should aim for high speed with no points in it.

My class used to Ravager/Bard but then I crafted Nocturnal level 60 blades and shifted to Ravager/Duelist and so far I'm liking how OP it is. I mean, ravager deals so much damage anyway and a Nocturnal secondary weapon heals me according to how much damage I'm making and then I came across the combo skills and I was like wow, these things are really OP but they got a painful cooldown that's why I was wondering if I can go beyond 50%. Right now I'm leveling up my second mastery and trying to get Eligos on the way since I have more fragments for Eligos than any of the other eidolons I mentioned. Thanks for clearing that I can never go beyond 50% though
