Virtual machines are standalone OS installations, hence, anything that works on your personal computer is going to work in VM if you configure things well.

Actually, the Virtual Machine allows you to install an additional OS side by side your current OS, and "attempts" to emulate everything a real OS could do.
It does not always work however, because certain things are not currently supported by the Virtual Machine, so it can't be emulated properly.
For instance, I'm trying to run an Online game as well with a VM ( Virtual Machine ), but it does not run the game because it can't emulate my graphics card to process the video. This is because, from what I've read, in order for the VM to access your graphics hardware, it has to support VT-d ( Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O ), which as far as I know, no VM supports this.
Currently I'm reading up more on it to try and figure it out because I found a thread on another forum with a guy that says he was able to get some Online games to run on a VM.

Hmm, I read a lot of posts and threads about it not being able to process 3d. But maybe they were old threads.. I didn't check. Gonna download VMware now and try it out. I've used this program before, but it was years ago when I had no idea how to use them.

Yea hardware isn't an issue.
i7-3930k @ 4.2 GHZ
32 GB G.Skill RAM
2x GTX 690
As an update, I did get my game to run. It looks crappy as hell, but all I needed was the ability to connect to the game, so I can do like you mentioned, bots parallel. Now I'll be able to multibox like crazy on this game, Rose Online, with my autoit scripts.
Thanks for the help
Solution:
1. Install VMware
2. Load Windows XP SP3 OS
3. Install .net Framework 3.5
4. Install My Game
5. Install VM Tools on the Host/Guest
6. Wala! Everything runs.

There is somewhere a setting.. if you "lock" the mouse to the VM then it acts normal...

Well for the mouse, I know in Virtualbox you had to turn off Mouse Integration. Maybe there is a similar setting in VMware somewhere.

Actually working on Virtualbox and VWware whit micro WinXP release but performance is not very good, because mouse control is so crazy sensible, and loadings is very long.
But if u need only menage market or still in autocraft you can do it well.

LoL auf VM (Virtual Machine)
10/09/2011 - League of Legends - 7 Replies
Hey,
ich bräuchte mal eure Hilfe. Ich will LoL auf einer VM öffnen. Ich benutze VMWare Player. Leider kann ich LoL nicht öffnen. Beim öffnen kommt die Meldung
"Could not load direct3d".

Kurz darauf erscheint folgendes:
File not found: My_Virtual_Machine.vmdk
This file is required to power on this virtual machine. If this file was moved, please provide its new location.
