Hi All,

I have been doing some work on modifying the graphics files used to render objects in the game client. I know the files are Renderware .DFF files and that there are multiple models per file. Data.Dat file appear to be the actual models and Reference.Dat is an index into the model file (probably used to accelerate model location and rendering.) My goal is to see if I can make a hole in the walls of the dungeons so that I can run through them (perhaps to get to my hunting spot faster - perhaps to gank my enemy and disappear.)

I have not found any model editors that read/edit/save Renderware files. I have successfully exported a single model from the Data.Dat file, but cannot do much more than view it in a wireframe modeler (Google Sketchup). Does anyone know where I can get a Renderware model editor to read, edit, and save multiple models in a file?

I have tried: Google Sketchup, ZModeler, Maya, and 3DS Max. I would like to find a tool with native Renderware support.

Thanks!

Some data file like the AH windows, the world map ect.. are just DDS file that you can rename (see header and rename those file in DDS) for read it with DDS file reader (direct draw surface for directx).

Editing texture to make "hole" just modify the visual aspect Archlord use Draw data and colission data (and a table of tile acces/propierty for the landscape).
You have to modify the collission model structure for doing what you want.

Thanks TZ!

I am looking for a good DDS editor to make a 'hole'. Do you know of any good DDS file editors?

As you say, if I need to mod the collision models, then I will try that next.

Thanks!

Modifying the resolution
11/05/2009 - Conquer Online 2 - 0 Replies
With CCO on the way and no potency, I will start playing again. What I want to know is if you can change the resolution to make it 1024x800 even if there will be a border around the window, and the CO window will still be 1024x768. I play in full screen, for boting reasons :p (easier to configure and create bots in full screen - for me at least), and I use 1024x800 resolution on my laptop, so I hate it when CO changes my resolution to 1024x768. Waiting for your answers.

HI Guys I am playing on a privat PW server. And our Server got updated the other day. Unfortunatly the modified elementclient."exe is not working anymore. I found this awesome guide on your homepage to modify it bymyself. When i start Olly DBG and hit Open-> Elementclient.exe ...it say "couldnt be startet cause of missing file zlibwapi.dll". Any idea what happened there? Would be really nice if somebody could help me concerning this problem.

Is it possible to modify items such as the experience jades? Has anyone even considered it? I'd like to discuss it here.
