as most of you have noticed, yesterday in the evening the server was offline for a couple of hours and afterwards around 23:00 there was an announcement from your admins that the server is back on. but what your lovely admins forgot to mention is the actual reason why the server was offline, so I will tell you because I think people deserve to know.
so, 1 week ago the new buddy system feature was released - and the idea was that the protégé char (lv30) only "exists" in a world separated from buddy character and the outside world. sounds good at first but, unfortunately, this wasn't the case. the game devs forgot that you can still use your roundtrip passports from the battleground, enabling you to go back to outside world and trade all your stuff to other players. most of the players (including me and my friend), took advantage of this bug and got a 100-year ban.
my friend was curious why his ban was so long when the server rules clearly state that abusing bugs in the first offence is a 1-week ban. so, he created a ticket and got this response from the admin (see screenshot below). now, the first thing that admin claims is the actions were taken in order to "save the economy" but this is of course not true because they fixed the bug afterwards and server rules don't mention anything about "hurting the economy". the real reason is that it hurt their pockets and they lost a couple of dollars. also, they just needed consolation for the ****** economy they made with their p2w and grindy game features.
and speaking of rules, they also claim that "its not possible to list every type of violation" so they just come up with ones as they please. another thing that doesn't make sense is that this violation somehow belongs to "dupe, theft, defrauding all players, being dishonest"? what did I dupe, who did I steal from, the server?
my point is, the admins made a huge ****-up and tried to cover it up and then ****** up again. they are lying to you and will keep lying
cheers
EDIT: this was also posted on discord on their channel but was removed immediately afterwards
