A lot of chat about xp/drop rates. The one thing to keep in mind is the original reason for what is considered 100% rates. That reason was decided by the people marketing the game, not the designers.
2 main reasons for the rates:
1. make more money! The game had just went FTP, so there was now no sub money coming in. The longer it took for the player to get what he/she was looking for, the more money it was likely to cost to get it.
2. There really isn't much "end game" content in AL. The lvling had to be lengthened in order to make it as impossible as possible for players to get max lvl to avoid having to continuously add new end game content. Although as we found out, NHN had been working on more content but CM would not publish it because, as we found out again, it was even more bugged than what was currently being played and near game breaking bugs were not being fixed before releasing new content.
Now, osiy, is faced with the decision of keeping the rates set by the marketing/bean counting team or adjusting to what he feels he needs to continue keeping his version running. That is a huge decision, glad it's him and not me TBH. He has a really nice looking and running server. Sure there's still issues, but what's AL with issues?!?!

Let the rates stay has osy wants, makes no sense to raise the exp/drop rate on a server using epis 3 cap level 99. Let we grind and fight in asylum, farens etc for weeks months, thats the fun of archlord. Low level fights for spots. Not 99 vs 99 full gear rofl.
I agree on events, last man standing, gvg, boss kill etc thats fun and makes a point to farm for uniqs and grind for the 1000 time on the same spots we all know for years.

@  y I downloaded the client installer but keep getting errors throughout the process, is that normal? I can skip or re-try.

Hmm I downloaded the installer from 0% to 100% without any problems. I wonder how it got damaged. I might just have to re-download again then  , thanks again!

Since rates are as they were in CM i guess we should be able to glitch uniques as well, right?

Turn off antivirus and redownload again.

Setup stops at; some of the .dat files while installing. I can skip, but still gets stuck again on another file for example : /character/defaulthead/face/Data.Dat

AV only kicks in as soon as I touch the File. In this case, its a installer, not a zip file where the AV can pick each and every single file, in order to flag/delete them.
EDIT : I fixed it by skipping all the Error messages LOL. I can already feel the good old CM times haha
