First of all, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the changed character name occurred from the server merging operation. Mainly if several characters of the same name are from both same and different accounts, one of them should have at least have a chance to compete for his name he used to have and the other character lose a chance to have that name anymore once the name is taken.
However, there was a technical problem which could have affected you to fail on changing your character name even without an existing character with the same name in 1 “World”.
The technical issue has been now managed & resolved, and for those of you who were not able to proceed on changing your character name from “character name@server name” will be able to change as of now.
(However, if the name has already been taken by other player, you still cannot use such name)
Also, for those of you who have already switched your name to totally different one just because you were not able to use your name with seeing “The character name already exists” error message, we will take your request via Direct Inquiries to get your name back. Then we will sort out all the requests to figure out whether the problem has been occurred by the technical issue or ordinarily some other player has dominated the name’s property. Please note if another player has already taken your name within the same “World”, we cannot resolve your request.

**Just to remind you, we will only be able to resolve those issues which got involved in the technical problem.
We cannot take away from another player if he has already dominated a property of your name.
**If the same character name were existed on the same account, choose one that you prefer to be changed.
