ZERK 1 - 90
I previously created the zerk build on WZ forums that was stickied, but since there are no longer any forums, and the ALINFO links are dead, I've decided to create a new one using the DRWX builder. I'll try and simply go over build info per every few important levels. I judge "importance" based on gear availability and AOE (Area of Effect skills for you new people) skills.
If you see that you have extra points while following this build, its because I planned it that way. there are skills you will need later, but not right away, and regardless of if you want them, sometimes you just don't have enough gold, AND you'll also need to bank a few points for you to get the combo skills you want, right when you want them. You can get them whenever you have the skill points available, OR, you can use them to experiment on your own.
Also, Vital charge is the single most important buff you have while grinding, ALWAYS use it. If you don't, you'll fall down and kiss grass a lot.
You start at lv1, obviously. Just go out and kill stuff till lv10. I prefer the exit near the AH (Auction House) because I personally find it to be the simplest way toward kuhn and then trilgard while crossing paths with the 1st cave.
Lv10
Just the 1 aoe for now, should be self explanatory.
next is lv22 (swing shot)
Now, with swing shot you will need to have a 2H halberd or 2H sword. most people hate it, but I do this for a reason... you have 2 AOEs now and its before lv34. DO NOT get the Brute Force buff (2H weapon buff) because you will not be keeping a 2H build.
Lv34 build (yay hook)
Now, you are 34, you have potentially 3 aoes if you still use the halberd, or 2 aoes and the faith defender buff if you decide to use a blunt. Also, use blunt at low level. sword is great at higher levels, but right now just decide if you can tank mobs with 2H halberd. if you can survive, keep leveling like this. if you cannot survive, then use blunt and shield.
Lv40 (Big Wheel)
OK, now you're leveling more and more, maxing out some buffs for the moment
got another AOE. same applies as before, if you can survive, use halberd, if not, use blunt. sword is ofc another option if you want to single mob, but i really don't recommend it. A zerk doesn't really shine as a crit class till 67.
Lv46 (Dragon Divide)
Again, another AOE, and again, more points to toss around.
LV50 (1st Combo skill yay !)
Its a buff actually but you get my point lol. put a point into mind boost. you'll need mana for when you go into CF (chaos frontier) and the combo skills eat lots of mana
Lv62
We've made a bit of a jump but everything is kinda self explanatory. you now hit much harder and have some cool skills including a resistance/skill block debuff in seismic shock. and even more importantly, you have steadfast. Steadfast is to PVP what Vital charge was to grinding, its basically the most important thing keeping you alive against other people (it has res, sb, and block all in 1) soon you'll be getting into crits, which is where we'll use all those points you've been saving.
Lv67
Your transformation into a pvp build has begun. crit buff, crit passive, some more points in lethal for the ignore defense, points in red heat for attack speed, body break for more crit damage.
Lv71
Power drain makes people hit you less (debilitate does too and you'll get that eventually too)
panic makes people slower so they don't run away from your unbridled awesomeness nearly as well as they would like to.
Lv92 (weapon)
OK i skipped a lot of levels here but I'm assuming anyone should be able to build a toon by now, hopefully you have done your own experiments by now to determine how to play your toon and what works against what class and what order to do what skills etc etc.
This 92 build is basically just to give you an idea of what to put where. you should have a return orb to reset a single skill you might not like (u will have got it from the level up gifts) and you should also still have your mass skill reset to wipe everything clean. you might need to do that for when you start trying to skill for HH buffs
By now you should also hopefully have been able to buy sell and trade your way into having a decent amount of gold to support yourself and maybe buy gem of origin to help save your ass if you need it.
This isn't the build I've used, I generally don't give out my builds to people unless they can show real actual interest :P
but this should certainly work as a nice build through the skills to have. I encourage everyone to read up on what skills do and how they do it, also, knowing the math behind HP and Damage calculations is nerdy but handy.
Good Luck
