Yes, and there have already been multiple manual bans. However, you probably won’t get banned just for using a hardware-based macro, which could happen at least with theory, with some general non-hardware-tied software like AutoHotKey (AHK), since Logitech etc. macros are tied to legitimate physical hardware and are seen as legitimate by the AC. The real issue is manual reviews and player reports, with the focus being on issuing penalties for abusing the quick-swap exploit or anything similar, which can be recorded easily on the video.
So yeah, if you do something like automate Venator so that you can just hold a button instead of spam-clicking it, that likely won’t get you banned. At worst, it will most likely just kick you out temporarily or block the software itself, like they’ve been doing in Finals. However, if you use it to exploit something like the latest quick-swap glitch, that’s 100% bannable, and there have been multiple ban reports in their official Discord in this regard. If someone records you visibly exploiting it, it may get you banned.
So in short, be careful with macros, only use hardware-tied macro software like Logitech Hub, and avoid using anything in a way that can be clearly proven as an exploit on video.
