questions regarding DMA usage without pcie slot.

I currently am using the B550I-AORUS-PRO-AX mobo. the problem I'm having is that I'm not currently aware of any dma device that uses M2 slot. maybe someone could point me in the direction of one. if dma through m2 slot is even possible.

As I don't have an extra PCIe slot on my motherboard I'm unsure it would be possible. I do have an extra NVMe PCIe 4.0 slot though. would it be possible to use an external PCIe?

just trying to avoid having to buy a new case and mobo because I'm currently running mini itx, with only 1 pcie slot.

if you have any thoughts or advice it would be greatly appreciated.
