It's simply a phrase from a guy (Anthony Flew) that nobody studies in my country, no one from where i'm from would get that **** just as you wouldn't get "fatti non foste a viver come bruti, ma per seguir virtute e canoscenza" unless you studied Dante Alighieri, which i doubt you did.
