Crunchyroll deactivated the comment function
Hi Guys,
since yesterday i noticed it, that i can't see the comment section. So i checked social media and saw that other peoples can't see it too. What do you think about it ? Idk why they have deactivated it. Normally you had a Profilename now its useless.
In my opinion this is a "nice way to exclude the community".
A function in the profile where you can show or hide comments would have done the trick.
Is there still a possibility on Crunchyroll to discuss anime with other users? maybe we should send them Mails or feedbacks in social media to get the comment section back.

You should send them feedback! I have cancelled my subscription and let them know i will not return until comments are enabled.
They posted this as to why they disabled comments. Really stupid if you ask me.

Good! I was so mad when i saw they took it away. Apparently it was due to some new anime that dropped and people were making homophobic comments on it. Clearly they are too lazy to prevent people from saying slurs like every other site does nowadays.

Yeah, that really ****** me up too. It just can't be that they simply exclude everyone for such idiots. It was really the only way to express our opinion, they should just ban the people.
They should simply implement a security AI function for this, e.g. social bots that check the chats to see if offensive content appears, which is also available on many platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Twitch, or elsewhere.

Exactly! They are just being lazy or some stupid decision by some executive. I cancelled my sub because its so dumb. When you cancel you can give them a reason why you cancelled.

I cancelled my subscription until they re-enable it... such a big company and they remove that function, it's very unfortunate.
