2x sup gems ... each ~40kk .. both ~80kk
10x rings +1 ... each ~3-5kk.... all ~30-50kk

well this is what i was told from few experts, when u upgrade an item, the artisian choose a number from 1 - 130 (just like there are lvls 1-130) and that number is random and changes every .2 of a second, so what happens is when u are upgrading lets say a lvl 30 boots to lvl 40 and the artisian happens to choose 40 as well..bingo! u will get a socket. however if he choses a diff number then your item may just upgrade to next lvl or may failed depending on what the numbers are set to, hope that gives u a lil overview.. btw after knowing this i decided to spam bout 80 mets on boots..and i got a lvl 40 sock boot :D , so few day later i tried again..but no luck lol.. ended up loosing 196 ;/
