I've been playing on this server for 5 weeks, here's my share:
Like the OP and the title says its play2win you must WORK for your shit. The SRO community isn't used to work for things they want.
If you start playing on the server it will take a few days before you reach the cap, depending if you bot, pt level or solo. Once you have reached the cap you are able to do anything you want. Most people start off as a trader to get gold and coins for Som, of course you can take the hard way and become a thief or a hunter.
Once you have done a few trade runs you can either buy gear or make it yourself. (remember sos is only +1 better than normal gear, its more about the set effect) So like I said earlier, you must work for your shit.
Anyway after 4 weeks of playing I have a sos +7 set and a som weapon. I did alot of traderuns and stalled a lot. It's really not that hard you just HAVE TO PLAY
I'd also like to add that the GMs do a really good job on the website with the ticket system. Within 24 hours you have a reply and or a fix for your problem. But remember, proper English and being nice (not begging, not cursing) will get you a whole lot further than being a prick.
Would I recommend this sro?

Its impossible to get anything from that. And I played from beggining and I had a lot of +9 +11 +8 +7 stuff, but that doesnt really matter, you could play to get something, now you can't get anything because of all those updates. Before you could get sos items, sell those etc. Now its impossible since you need 10m every time you enter to it or go out of it + u can get killed really easy. They did that "to prevent" gbotting, but they didn't think what could happen if you will buy proxied ips and connect ur 8 chars party in purgatory. + GM's are corrupted (atleast Akasch is) because they're selling som +9 weaps :) Akasch sold one.

WTF i can't even trade lol . look at pt matching all of em thieves :@ so we have to buy buffalo with 40m n goods then go out to let old players have fun lol JUST DO SOMETHING I REALLY LIKE THAT SHITTY SERVER SO TRY TO FIX .
1- add buffalos at NPC
2- change unique spawn points
3- make gate for hunters & traders in job cave alone and thieves aren't allowed to join it to avoid killing boters
4- increase the trades income to give new players chance to get enough gold to start
5- u can limite the numbers of thieves like 20% so that's the normal . thieves should be less than hunters & traders
6- change ur silly auto events like hide n seek
7- we need GMs to contact em NOT TO AVOID US !!!
u guys know nothing about business u have to satisfy ur clients needs to earn more money . NOT IGNORING EM !

GMs check your alchemy.... from +5 to +6 aint normal. Failing for the 40th time to +6 cant be right.... Premium lucky suit and lucky stones, like wtf? +7 to +9 should be hard yes, but not +5 to +6...

this server is good theoretically, when u read about the server and the events and so u will feel good as if there is a chance for every one, and u will feel the same when u start grinding and leveling, u will feel positive as u cant wait to hit lv90 to start having fun with job
but once u reach that level, u will start thinking about leaving the server and in 1-3 weeks u will make a decision even to leave the stupid server or to just do stall all day long after u lose hope of getting anything from the stupid job
cave is useless and worthless after the update, u will spend gold to enter cave more than u get, specially when a super armed thief is waiting u inside to kill every hunter/trader
and talking about farming coins and so,, no comment
i wont start that stupid arguing about farming coins, coz most of people have seen already that its IMPOSSIBLE and i mean IMPOSSIBLE to get that coins, u will get 2 gold coins/trade and to get a silver u need to exchange em with 5 golds, som weapons need 150 silver wich means 750 gold coin and this means that u need to make 375 SUCCESSFUL trades just to get the silver coins, ofc som items need in addition to silver gold coins about 300 gold i think, cant remember and after u do the 500 successful trades u will pay 1b / copper coin, ALL THAT SHIT JUST TO GET 1 FCKIN SOM ITEM
and after u get the goddamned item u will find that its worthless without a whole SOM set and after u get the whole SOM set and make it +5 u will find that ure nothing compared to those who got SOM +8-9 and ofc those who got sun

just to get 1 som item , if u want set of armor then 450 X 6 = 2700 successful trades
the number is not the hardest thing, the hardest thing is the word "SUCCESSFUL TRADE"
