Pfff primitive nerds, that they call themself "Triple AAA" "developers/coders" while they can edit, adding features to that game.
Silkroad were coded in 1998 and look at those hardware specs they had back then it is clearly simple to notice that Silkroad within is hard limited 32-Bit.
You have to recreate the source from scratch to match the standards in 2021 to handle more stuff also a new game engine would be useful to prevent some limitations from 1998.

Silkroad Private Servers are simply done by polishing the game to make it full shiny, sosun, bling bling, twinkle twinkle here and there, nothing more and nothing less.

Ruby had 6000+ once, Eagle had the same in the cap 100 server when muhab was there, And actually both were lag-free and smooth. what's up mega do you miss smth?

In my opinion the 6000+ player servers are sux , its crowded everywhere and every spot in plvling areas + your emption to be one of the TOP 10 will go far away , and Mega for sure knows how this modules handle players since he has the source code of these modules ..
and for servers' owners what about opening new server after your first server get the max players like ISRO do ...

In my opinion a system similar to rev6 for all psro servers that are decent would be a thing. and especially if some propper mods agree or disagree on server-listing based on x criterias.

Indeed a counter-measure is posting rule on epvp :)

Having 1000 + real players makes a server look like Eagle/Electus. I was wondering about these 6500+ numbers for a long time as well, and it's really frustrating what numbers can do to the player base, which only tries out a server if they see a high amount of players.

I would say around 1.2-1.5k real players. More than that, fake numbers for sure. But who cares anyways, they won't tell anyone the thruth and they will always find a way to excuse to make people think it's real. Joymax/WeMadeMax never managed to do it with source code, not even MegaMax could, let alone those money milkers.

Player count modification (faking) is very usual in many games. An idea, could be some sort of ranking website, with a property/closed source dll extension to vsro, this way it could certify the number of players online in validated servers, if one of the server fakes data or try to hack/crack it, he is banned from the tracker. It could be a start to show which servers are succesful with population or not. :)

well, if epvp adds a rule for that we are happy to implement this certificate kind of service as f8games
