ich wollte euch ein kurzes Update zu meinem Projekt geben. Die Weltkarte ist jetzt in Blender fertiggestellt, und ich bin dabei, sie in die Unreal Engine zu importieren. Dabei bin ich jedoch auf das Problem gestoßen, dass ich die Materialien in der Engine neu zusammenstellen muss, da es scheinbar keine kompatiblen Importmöglichkeiten gibt – oder ich kenne sie einfach nicht.
Mir ist bewusst, dass man nicht alles automatisieren kann, und ich bin bereit, da manuell Hand anzulegen. Archlord war schließlich eine Art Open-World-Spiel, und genau dieses Gefühl möchte ich auch in meinem Projekt beibehalten. Jetzt geht es darum, die bestmögliche Methode in der Unreal Engine zu finden, um die Weltkarte korrekt zu platzieren. Das wird sicherlich auch wieder einiges an Zeit in Anspruch nehmen.
Der Import von Umgebungsobjekten wie Bäumen, Häusern usw. ist übrigens bereits abgeschlossen. Das bedeutet, sobald die Weltkarte vollständig in die Engine integriert ist, könnte ich ein Video davon machen und euch zeigen.
Falls jemand von euch Ideen oder Lösungen zu den Animationen hat, speziell im Zusammenhang mit den *.ean-Dateien, wäre ich sehr dankbar für jede Hilfe.

Mein letzter Beitrag war im Oktober, und seitdem war es sehr ruhig von meiner Seite. Der Grund dafür waren Familienangelegenheiten und die Weihnachtszeit – ich hoffe, das ist verständlich.
Im neuen Jahr werde ich Ende Januar wieder voll einsteigen und am Projekt weiterarbeiten. Warum so spät? Nun ja, meine Computer-Hardware ist mittlerweile 10 Jahre alt und reicht einfach nicht mehr aus. Ich habe mir etwas Neues bestellt, aber die Lieferung erfolgt erst Mitte Januar. Danach muss ich natürlich alles einrichten.
Ab dann sollte aber nichts mehr im Weg stehen, um das Projekt voranzubringen! Bleibt also gespannt auf die nächsten Updates von mir.

In the new year, I’ll be fully back at the end of January to continue working on the project. Why so late? Well, my computer hardware is 10 years old and no longer up to the task. I’ve ordered a new setup, but it won’t arrive until mid-January. Once it’s here, I’ll need some time to set everything up.
After that, there should be no more hurdles to push the project forward! So stay tuned for the next updates from me.

meine neue Computertechnik ist mittlerweile eingetroffen und wieder eingerichtet. Alles wunderbar und genug Power für das Projekt. Aber nun das Negative: die Unreal Engine spielt nicht mit. Sie stürzt regelmäßig ab und frustriert dermaßen, dass man einen ganzen Wald zerlegen könnte.
Offenbar muss ich mir eine Möglichkeit suchen, das Terrain zu importieren, um es zusammenzusetzen. Das bedeutet dann wiederum mehr Aufwand und Arbeit. Ich habe mir jetzt Gaea in der Version 1 und 2 installiert und hoffe, dass ich damit erfolgreicher bin und die Unreal Engine nicht so schnell abstürzt.
Jetzt muss ich 167 Abschnitte des Terrains über Gaea abarbeiten und hoffen, dass es dann besser klappt. Drückt mir also die Daumen!

my new computer hardware has finally arrived and is all set up. Everything is working perfectly and there's plenty of power for the project. But now to the negative: Unreal Engine isn’t cooperating. It keeps crashing regularly and is so frustrating that you’d feel like tearing down an entire forest.
Apparently, I need to find a way to import the terrain and piece it together. That means even more effort and work. I’ve now installed Gaea in both version 1 and 2, hoping that this will work better and that Unreal Engine won’t crash as much.
Now I have to process 167 sections of terrain through Gaea and hope things will improve. Wish me luck!

Ich habe eine Möglichkeit gefunden, um die Animationen von Monstern und anderen Figuren aus dem Spiel zu extrahieren, diese in Blender zu bearbeiten und anschließend in der Unreal Engine 5 zu verwenden. Wenn das funktioniert, dann wäre das Problem der Extraktion gelöst. Es würde nur noch reine Fleißarbeit und eine Menge Geduld benötigen.

Du kennst ihn auch noch aus der Zeit von Brumhart – ihr hattet damals viel Spaß daran, die Wachen in Tullan mit euren Mages umzunieten. Kannst du dich noch daran erinnern?Quote:
