honestly sky, i think it would provide much cooler if you put gears on a harder to get ratio. that way it's not like: one hour: go black lose gears. next hour: maxed gears again. personally, if you want the original pk system to reinvert, make gears harder to get. not as hard as normal conquer, but somewhat near it. makes you feel more accomplished upon killing a red name when he drops +6 sup gears, which you don't have -- instead of you already having +12 gears, and he just drops his.
what i recall most about co (pre-itemlock) is seeing a 130 tro full sup +4-6 1/2 soc sdg sdg (mostly) and seeing another 130 tro own her, then her drop some of those (what i would call legit as a nub) that i grabbed and made a good 4k cps off of them.
seeing that not only the dude who killed the red/black name gets gears, its more like whoever gets them gets them.
just think about it. original pk system was based off the fact of no itemlock, fun, and pkers actually having to have BALLS to black name.
