I read the article carefully and from what I understand Arenanet has banned 1500 users using spyware techniques harmful to the privacy of users, quite randomly and without making sure that the programs (called hacker tools) in question were really used to draw an in-game advantage; to sum up, they violated not only their own Rules of Condut but also several national and communitary laws (or federal ones for the USA). They could just use it again, no one is willing to go through the hassle of suing, possibly losing and ending up having not to only pay his own lawyer costs, but arenanet's too. There is nothing really stopping them from using it except for moral reasons.Quote:
