There are so many guides on this
What makes you think this is any better?

I didn't say it was better.
It's too different to be compared.
The articles I wrote are more about success than setting them up.

lol, i am a BIG noob and want to get into this kind of stuff, but i don't know what my sql user and password is.

If there is a basic tutorial that tells you everything one little step at a time that you know of can you tell me? I've looked everywhere but most of the stuff i get stuck half way in.

You don't need MySQL for this release.
All you have to do is put OldCODB in C:/ and change the config.ini file so that it matches your hamachi ip address.

Do you have hamachi? It's good for beginners.

K, download the free edition (unmanaged):
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Then, make a room with a password so that your testers can log onto it...
Then take that IP address it gives you and put it into the configuration file! :)

oh! I've seen that before...
it's a rare bug with hamachi and SP3...
try reinstalling it but starting the installation in Compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2. IF that doesn't work then someone has to TeamViewer you.

With compatibility mode i can only run things in:
Microsoft Windows 95
Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 5)
Microsoft Windows 98 / Windows Me
Microsoft Windows 2000

i have no option of SP2

the method i use was Start>Help and Support >Fixing a Problem>Application and software problems>Getting older programs to run on XP>Program Compatibility Wizard.

If you cant help me or don't have time you don't have to. You have helped me get this far so again , Thank You.

I'm very busy =\
I'm sure you can figure it out by contacting hamachi.
that's where we got the solution.
