I made a little prog to search for DDS files. They all have the same first 4 bytes &H(44 44 53 20), my initial program worked by searching for those 4 bytes right the way through the file, and made a list of pointers, then copying the content from pointerA to (pointerB -1), where PointerA is the loaction of the first instance, and PointerB is the location of the second instance. I just extracted with an incrementing name "xxxxx.dds".

After noticing there were other structures like tga and bitmaps, i just modded the program a little to find them too.
I'm working on extracting each file to the right folder, and giving it the right name before I release it here.

I'm not finished with the c3 file structure yet, so I'm just ignoring that for now. I extracted all the .dds files from c3.wdf, i'll extract the c3 files later when i've made my viewer.

Anyway, you requested a lvl 115 female tao robe texture? :rolleyes:
Point out which one it is and I'll zip up all 7 colors for you. ;)

most of us use infranview already... but it can only view the dds files that are already in dds format

if you notice, there are a ton of images missing from the folders... they are encoded in the data.wdf file (huge file right in the main co folder)

what he is doing is extracting them so we can play with even more pics :rolleyes:

you said youre working on cracking the c3.wdf file... are you able to view c3 files then? it would be really handy to edit character models and behavior of effects (ie, reverse healing rain so it goes up instead of down... just an example)

if they contain info for character models and such i would assume they are 3d... cant be easy to crack :?
