I often notice in elitepvpers and also among my friends that many simply do not deal with Google. Here, I will show you how to use google and a few other things to optimize your search results.
Beforehand:
What is Google?
Google is a search engine.
The Basics
Lesson 1:
Google does not answer all the questions! So search query such as
Code:
"My PC has yesterday received a blue screen with error code 0x00000005, after I started Steam, what can I do?"
Accordingly also a bad result.
It is limited only to the most important information here about
:
Code:
Bluescreen 0x00000005
Which is perfectly adequate for now.
Lesson 2:
If you will not achieve a desired outcome do not despair and immediately turn to the Internet
Quote:
|
I've googled and found nothing
|
But also the times to go through one or the other side of the search results, you can spare two minutes for it surely.
Lesson 3:
If still no suitable result was provided, we add to the query any further information added, such as:
Code:
Bluescreen 0x00000005 Steam
Lesson 4:

Each has ever determined myself google and found no matching result to his person. Since two single quotation marks can help may already:
The quote is sort of a 1:1-search, that is, the phrases entered must OCCURRENCE and are also available in this order.
For Advanced Googlers
Lesson 1 - The term filter:
You're looking for Brad Pitt but you bother getting a site called YouTube and you want to have only results from Youtube? No problem:
A simple, - 'hung with the term bothers you behind the query brings the desired result, eg:
Filters you out all results that have to do with Youtube.
And what returns you to apply this filter to have only results with that term?
Quite surprisingly, with a '+'
Filters you out all results that have nothing to do with Youtube.
Lesson 2 - The file filter:
Suppose you are looking for a PDF file, if you find "Lustig.pdf" no files but only texts which includes the word "PDF". How do you deal now with that?
It's easy with a file filter
Code:
Lustig filetype:pdf
Lesson 3 - AND or OR:
If you after
"Straw hay grass" in Google searches are automatically searched this all together, but this is when I want to have only one of these terms?
The solution is close to I use, OR between the terms. Alternatively, a, | to be used.
Code:
Stroh OR Heu OR Gras
or
To search for straw and hay or grass, you can group them.
Code:
Stroh (Heu OR Gras)
or
Lesson 4 - Search in titles only
Disturbing stupid search results, where a word of your search term in the title stands and one in the text, but you want to search only in the title?
Look here:
Code:
allintitle:“elitepvpers ist cool“
For Proffestionals
The chaining of filters:
The above and below the filter, you can of course all linked together, so you could then Google lvl 90 Pros a query look like this:
Code:
allintitle:“Stroh (Heu | Gras)“ filetype:(html | htm | php) +site:www.elitepvpers.com -site:www.gutefrage.net
