Well that's why you won't find many. Pvp servers are insanely hard to manage. Acid was popular but as far as I'm concerned its the only reasonable pvp server that has existed

1: need a reason to keep ppl playing. In pvp this means either constant new and fun events or making gear more work... Which alienated many players

2: need a way to make money. Donations on pvp servers fail because they have to op people. In leveling you can give nice features, vanity items and rates to avoid unbalancing the game but in pvp you have far fewer options to raise money and so server can justify less upkeep.

3: needs far more protection. Few people bother really taking into account hack prevention and it ruins pvp servers.

As a result, pvp servers are much harder to make good. sure theres some half decent ones out there with like 50 ppl but nothing fancy. Obviously we never went very far with the Hellmouth concept but i still feel that a combination approach is the best way of supporting a server.

Hunting, high end pce (bosses and quests) and pvp all having their own progression perks is easily the best way to please eveyone. It's just a ton more work to set up.

I agree with pro4never.

Also, from a developer's standpoint, we don't want to spend months and months developing a server for, dare I say, a "cheap thrill". People like PvP servers, but it's nearly impossible to keep a player base, because of the reasons that pro4never mentioned.
